Arve Henriksen is probably Norway´s most versatile musician of his generation, always on the move, always searching and exploring possible and seemingly impossible paths. Arve has released seven solo albums on the superb Norwegian label Rune Grammofon label, as well as one with ECM records.
He is a founder member of ground breaking improvising group Supersilent and an original member of Food (with Iain Ballamy). He was a member of Christian Wallumrød Ensemble and has played and recorded with a large number of Norwegian and international musicians, most notably David Sylvian and Dhafer Youssef.
Arve is one of the most eloquent collaborators in contemporary music, working not only with his own music but bringing his sweetly plaintive sound and inherent creativity to interact with others’. He regularly works with the contemporary and ancient music of vocal group Trio Mediaeval, and embraces new partnerships with musicians from all over the world.
